This song kind of turned into... a bit of everything? Ambient, cinematic, experimental, electronic, indie... whatever you wanna throw in the genre stew.

It's release day for my Elskavon single "Heeding Light."

I wrote and recorded it in Princeton, Wisconsin - about 2 hours north of Milwaukee - earlier this year while I had the Parlor Hotel to myself during an artist residency there.

And I actually captured some of the creative process on film - the first in a series of sort of a vlog / BTS thing:

Part of that film is also the beginnings of my song "Would You Let Me Miss You," which I put out under my indie-folk moniker Dellwood.

So I used to sort of feel sheepish about or always give disclaimers on having so many different monikers/music projects. About 4 or 5 years ago, I decided to stop doing that (the feeling sheepish part, not the monikers part, clearly...) and simply own it - this is what I love to do! I just have always loved chasing different types of music and sounds and moods. It's simply how I'm wired, and I'm finally in a place of full on embracing that.

At the end of the day, life is short, right? I figure the least we can do is embrace our creative wiring.
